ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said the general elections will be held in October next year.
Speaking in the National Assembly on Monday, she said the people will support the truth and not vote in favor of the one who wants to stoke anarchy and divide the nation.
The Information Minister strongly regretted the slander campaign of the PTI against the PML-N leadership saying the previous government targeted only political opponents and registered fake cases against them.
She said the PTI is not a political party but a propaganda group which during its tenure in power destroyed both the economy and society.
She said the Daily Mail’s unconditional apology has not only vindicated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif but also given a clear message to the international community that Pakistani government is responsible and the aid money delivered by them is used for the welfare of the people.
Alluding to Toshakhana case and the gifts sold out by PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the Information Minister said the country was plundered during the four-year tenure of PTI.
