Karachi: The funeral prayer of renowned religious scholar Mufti Rafi Usmani has been offered in Korangi, Karachi.
Mufti Rafi Usmani younger brother Mufti Taqi Usmani led the funeral prayers at Daral Uloom Karachi in Korangi.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tissori, Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Nazim Hafeez Naeem Ur Rehman, Pakistan Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Syed Mustafa Kamal along with his accomplices attended the funeral prayers.
Besides important religious and social figures and a huge number of people attended the funeral prayer.

Late Mufti Azam Mufti Rafi Usman was buried at the premises of Dar Ul Uloom Karachi.
Born in 1936 in the famous Indian town of Deoband to a leading Islamic scholar of British India, Usmani memorized the Quran in Karachi and recited the last lesson with Palestine’s grand mufti Amin Al-Husseini.

Usmani got his Maulvi Fazil degree from the University of Punjab before specializing in Islamic Jurisprudence at Darul Uloom Karachi, where he later served as president until his death.
