QUETTA: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Quetta has remanded former police surgeon Dr. Ayesha Faiz to CTD custody for three days. Dr. Ayesha Faiz, who previously served at Civil Hospital Quetta, was brought before the court by CTD officials.
The CTD requested the court for her remand, which was granted by ATC Judge Syed Ali Mubeen for a period of three days.
Dr. Ayesha Faiz was detained three days ago on charges of supporting banned organizations by holding a press conference and promoting their narratives. Additionally, she faces cases under the Anti-Terrorism Act, the PEMRA Ordinance, and the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) Act, with proceedings also initiated against her under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
