Former MQM Leader Baber Ghouri Hands Over To Police On Physical Remand In Inflammatory Speech Case

Karachi: The police on Tuesday presented Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior leader and ex-federal Minister Baber Ghauri before an anti-terrorism court (ATC) of Karachi in an inflammatory speech case.

The ATC handed over Baber Ghauri to police on physical remand until July 12.

According to the police, former MQM leader and federal minister for port shipping Baber Ghauri has been arrested in the case of inflammatory speech.

As per the police, the accused was living abroad and arrested after his arrival at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport Karachi yesterday.

Babaer Ghauri has accused of clapping on the inflammatory speech while the inflammatory speech case was registered back in 2015.

The police in sought of physical remand said that the police have to interrogate him in the case.

The MQM leader is also a proclaimed offender in the NAB reference of illegal recruitments.
