LAKKI MARWAT: At least five police personnel were wounded when an explosion targeted a police van in Lakki Marwat on Monday, officials said.
According to initial reports, the blast occurred at Shahbaz Khel Adda, where explosive material had reportedly been concealed inside a parked motorcycle near the police vehicle.
Following the incident, a large contingent of police reached the site, secured the area, and launched an evidence-gathering operation as part of the investigation.
Among those injured were Assistant Sub-Inspector Jamaluddin, Constable Arif, and driver Mir Hassan, along with two other personnel. All injured officers were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities said an inquiry has been initiated to determine the nature of the attack and identify those responsible, while security in the area has been heightened.
