LAHORE: A major fire erupted at a shoe manufacturing factory near Mian Munshi Hospital in Lahore on Monday, triggering a swift response from Rescue 1122 teams.
According to rescue officials, the fire broke out on the upper floor of the factory, where firefighters immediately launched an operation to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to other parts of the building.
Rescue personnel reached the site shortly after receiving the emergency call and continued firefighting efforts to bring the blaze under control.
The incident comes months after a fire broke out at a paint factory in Lahore’s Hanjarwal area in April 2026.
The earlier blaze involved paint-related materials, with officials saying the presence of chemicals intensified the fire and made firefighting operations more difficult.
The exact cause of the latest fire at the shoe factory has not yet been determined, while further details are awaited from the authorities.
