Field Marshal meets Iranian Interior Minister, praises Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to reduce regional Tensions and Diplomatic Role

RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with Iran’s Interior Minister, Iskandar Momeni, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. The two leaders discussed regional and bilateral security issues during the meeting.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Iran’s Interior Minister Iskandar Momeni visited GHQ Rawalpindi, where he held discussions with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The talks focused on regional security dynamics, bilateral security cooperation, and effective border management.

ISPR further noted that the Iranian Interior Minister appreciated Pakistan’s consistent efforts and indispensable diplomatic role in reducing regional tensions. He commended Pakistan’s initiatives to promote peace and stability in the region.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close communication and cooperation. They also emphasized the importance of a cooperative mechanism to ensure regional security and mutual prosperity.
