Lahore: Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab Sarfaraz Cheema has said that the federal government is treating people of Punjab as a step mother adding that it didn’t give any single penny to flood affected people.
The adviser Umar Sarfaraz Cheema said that the Punjab government it self extending active help to floods victims adding that more than 100 flood relief camps for the flood victims.
Umar Sarfaraz Cheema said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is enjoying time in Qatar while left behind Pakistanis in the catastrophe of floods.
Apprising about relief operation in Punjab, the PTI leader said that rescue and relief operation have been speed up while three time food, clean drinking water and other necessary facilities are being provided.
He apprised that as many as 641 families are residing in the relief camps of the Punjab government while he said that as many as 42,146 people stuck in the floods have been rescued successfully jointly by army, rescue 1122 and other rescue institutions.
The adviser informed that food is being provided to rain affected people in far flung and unreachable areas through helicopters.
Umar Sarfaraz Cheema said that PTI chairman Imran Khan and Chief Minister Punjab are personally supervising rescue and relief operation in the flood hit areas.
