Federal Cabinet Approves Electoral Reforms Proposals

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The meeting approved proposals on electoral reforms. It was informed in the briefing that the members of the Senate and National and Provincial Assemblies would have to take oath within 40 days. If the oath is not taken within 40 days, the seat will be considered vacant. It was informed in the briefing that re-election will be held on the seat after 40 days. The bill for issuance of the ordinance will be sent to the President. Sources said that a decision will also be taken on the vacant seat of Ishaq Dar.
