ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the deadline for filing sales tax and Federal Excise Duty (FED) returns until September 30, 2026.
According to the FBR, the extension has been granted to facilitate taxpayers following technical issues encountered in the department’s online tax return filing system.
The revenue authority said corporate organisations had also requested additional time to submit their sales tax returns.
FBR has conveyed the revised deadline to the Commissioners of Inland Revenue, directing them to take note of the extension.
Additional time has also been provided to Distribution Companies (DISCOs) and other corporate taxpayers for filing their relevant tax returns, the FBR said.
