RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa has emphasized on swiftly devising an institutional mechanism for channeling humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan in order to avert a looming humanitarian catastrophe.
Talking to Ambassador of Belarus Andrei Metelitsa in Rawalpindi today, he said Pakistan values Belarus’s role in global and regional affairs, and wants to enhance bilateral relationship.
The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace especially in Afghanistan and strengthening Pak-Afghan border management.
The Belarus Ambassador pledged to play his part for further improving diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interests, potential in defense cooperation, regional security and partnership for humanitarian measures in Afghanistan were discussed.
