ECP Reserves Verdict In Gillani and Son Disqualifying Petitions

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday (today) reserved verdict in the case of senate election video scandal and petitions of disqualifying of Yousuf Raza Gillani and Ali Hyder Gillani after petitioners arguments concluded.

Three-member bench of the ECP headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) heard the petitions.

Petitioners belonging to PTI, Malika Bukhari, Farukh Habib and Kanwal Shzob appeared before the ECP.

Malika Bukhari in her responding arguments said that Al Hyder Gillani has accepted that he influnced people to waste votes.

She said that it is not necessary that if Ali Hyder Gillani not paid the amount than corruption was not conducted. She said that Ali Hyder Gillani committed corrupt practice.

She said that the ECP can conduct video forensic audit of the election commission videos.

After conclusion of the PTI petitioners, the ECP reserved verdict of disqualifying petitions against Yousuf Raza Gillani and Ali Hyder Gillani.
