Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has given time till September 6 to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for submitting reply on the notice for confiscation of prohibited funding.
The Chief Election Commissioner of the ECP Sikandar Sultan Raja on Tuesday (today) held a hearing on the confiscation notice given to PTI for prohibited funding case..
The PTI, counsel Shah Khawar didn’t attend the hearing while assistant counsel of the PTI apprised the ECP that the PTI consel is busy in the Supreme Court.
The PTI assistant counsel insisted the court a four-week time for submission of reply on the notification, on which the CEC said that all the documents, PTI has submitted in the case.
The PTI counsel said that a lot of documents have to be submitted in the court and documents also sought from the PTI foreign chapters.
The CEC refused to give more than one week time. On which, counsel sought two weeks time from the court.
Sikandar Sultan Raja allowed the PTI counsel to submit the detalis till September 6.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PTI has challenged the verdict of the ECP in Islamabad High Court
