ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed the federal government’s resolve to address the issues confronting the people of Balochistan and promote the province’s long-term development.
He made these remarks during a meeting in Islamabad with National Party President Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, who was accompanied by the party’s parliamentary representatives.
Dar said the government remained committed to supporting the people of Balochistan in achieving sustainable economic growth and development while safeguarding their constitutional rights and legitimate aspirations.
During the meeting, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch appreciated the government’s engagement and said the National Party was ready to cooperate with all stakeholders to advance the welfare and progress of the province.
He also maintained that insurgent groups active in Balochistan did not enjoy public backing or legitimacy among the people of the province.
The meeting was also attended by Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Rana Sanaullah Khan and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa.
