LAHORE: A court in Lahore on Monday granted bail to Falak Javed in a case related to the alleged circulation of a fake video involving Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari.
The petition was heard by Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry, who directed the accused to submit surety bonds worth Rs100,000 each for her release.
Mian Ali Ishfaque represented the PTI activist during the proceedings.
The case had been registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), accusing Falak and others of sharing doctored videos of the provincial minister on social media platforms.
Falak Javed had been in custody since September 24, 2025.
The matter stems from a complaint filed by Azma Bukhari in July 2024, in which she alleged that manipulated images and videos of her were circulated online, causing reputational harm and violating her constitutional rights.
In her plea, the minister had requested legal action against those involved and sought directions for authorities to submit a compliance report on the steps taken.
