COAS Attends Funeral Prayer Of Pak-Army Officers Including Lt Gen Sarfaraz Ali

RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa attended the funeral prayers of Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali and Brigadier Muhammad Khalid who embraced martyrdom in the Balochistan helicopter crash, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.

Balochistan Governor Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali, Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, provincial ministers and several civil and military officials including relatives of the martyrs attended the funeral.

According to the ISPR, the COAS visited the families of Lt Gen Sarfraz Ali and Brig Muhammad Khalid as well as the family of Lt Colonel Laiq Baig Mirza who embraced martyrdom at Ziarat.

The mortal remains of the martyrs from the helicopter crash were moved to Rawalpindi. The Central Namaz-e-Janaza of the three martyrs offered at the Army Graveyard in Rawalpindi today.

The martyrs buried with full military honours, the ISPR added.
