Islamabad: A meeting of government coalition and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) parties on Wednesday decided to file a reference seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan over the ECP verdict on the foreign funding case against PTI, sources said.
The federal cabinet meeting will approve a reference to be filed in Supreme Court (SC) on the prohibited funding case tomorrow.
Sources said that the decision was taken after informal consultation with PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
It is decided to file the reference under article 62 and 63 of the constitution.
The cabinet will tomorrow take final decision to put Imran Khan and others name to Exit Control List (ECL).
The final decision regarding the PTI’s offshore accounts, criminal cases will be taken by the federal cabinet tomorrow (Thursday), sources added.
The huddle clarified that if someone wanted to protest then do it outside the red-zone, sources said..
