CJ Takes Notice Of Rejection Of Opposition’s No Confidence Motion

Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Atta Bandiyal on Sunday took notice of the situation erupted after Deputy Speaker National Assembly (NA) Qasim Suri rejected a no confidence motion of the opposition parties which was going to be held today.

The spokesman of the SC said that the details of the notice will be shared soon.

On the other hand, counsels of the opposition parties have reached the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) for filing of the petition against Deputy Speaker National Assembly rolling declaring a no confidene motion against 5 (A) of the constitution.

Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial has also arrived the SC building while the CJ has consulted over the matter with the other senior judges of the SC.

The CJ consulted on the government move with Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar .

The honourable CJ also consulted with Justice Maqbool Baqar and Justice Aijaz Al Ahsan.

The CJ has also ordered the Institution Branch to collect all the contents after the filing of the petition.
