Chairman NAB Appears Before PAC Meeting


Islamabad: Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) just (retd) Javed Iqbal has said that the Parliament is the supreme institution and there should be not doubt regarding this.

Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meeting was held in the chair of Rana Tanveer Hussain wherein the Chairman NAB Javed Iqbal attended the meeting. The Chairman NAB said that the NAB doesn’t think it above the law adding ” I am Chairman NAB not a mughal king, the parliament is the supreme institution and there should be no doubt in this regard.”

Just (retd) Javed Iqbal said that a four year audit of the NAB completed adding that he could not attend the PAC meetings one or twice for necessary reasons.

He said that the anti-graft body always ready for any accountability.

Chairman PAC Rana Tanveer Hussain said that the Chairman NAB is answerable to the parliament and you will be respected if you present here adding that as a former judge you have to follow the law more and we have more expectation from you.

Noor Alam Khan said that we don’t have any personal grudge with you and told us how many cases are in the NAB against politicians and other people.

To which, Chairman NAB said that this is not included in today’s agenda.
