Bahria Town’s Murree land sold by FBR in major tax recovery move

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has auctioned off Bahria Town’s 527-kanal and 10-marla property in Murree as part of efforts to recover outstanding tax dues.

The land, situated in Mauza Kathar Sharqi on Angori Road in Tehsil Murree, Rawalpindi District, was sold through a public auction after repeated recovery proceedings carried out under the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, and the Income Tax Rules, 2002.

According to sources, the auction was initiated to recover unpaid tax liabilities totaling Rs26.47 billion. The sale marks a significant step in the FBR’s ongoing campaign to recover outstanding tax payments from defaulters.
