Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan interim bail has been approved in the contempt of court case over threatening to magistrate judge in his speech at F-9 park last week.
Chairman PTI Imran Khan appeared before a anti-terrorism court Islamabad today and filed a petition for bail before arrest.
Baber Awan and Ali Bhukhar filed the interim bail petition in the anti-terrorism court on behalf of the PTI chief, while the anti-terrorism court judge Raja Jawad Abbass heard the petition.
The former premier in his petition argued that this is baseless and false terrorism case adding that he neither has committed any crime nor he has any criminal record.
Imran Khan prayed to the court to approve his bail and bar the Islamabad police to arrest him.
The ATC Islamabad approved Imran Khan bail before the arrest till September 1 and directed the PTI chief to submit surety bonds of one lakh rupees.

Talking to media outside the court the PTI chief said that Shahbaz Gill resorted to torture and it has proved in the court as well.
The ex-premier said that Pakistan has become a joke in the eyes of all across the world.
He said “When I said to take legal action against Inspector General (IG) police and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) police, over which they registered case against me on the terrorism charges.”
