Araghchi to revisit Pakistan as regional talks continue

TEHRAN: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is expected to return to Pakistan after completing a visit to Oman, according to Iranian state media.

The Islamic Republic News Agency reported that Araghchi will travel back to Islamabad before continuing onward to Russia. His earlier departure from Pakistan came the same day, but diplomatic engagements are set to resume shortly.

Parts of his delegation have already returned to Tehran for consultations with senior leadership, seeking guidance on key matters related to ending the ongoing conflict. They are expected to regroup with Araghchi upon his return to Islamabad.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed that an Iranian delegation has also travelled to Oman the first such visit since the outbreak of the wider Middle East crisis, which he said has affected the entire region.

Baghaei emphasized that Iran continues to prioritise its relationships with Persian Gulf nations, highlighting its commitment to building trust and fostering constructive cooperation. He noted that ties between Tehran and Muscat reflect Iran’s broader policy of maintaining respectful and mutually beneficial relations with neighboring countries.
