Amjad, son of renowned qawwal Ghulam Farid Sabri and nephew of Maqbool Sabri, was one of the most sought-after qawwals of the country.
Some of his most famous qawwalis were Tajdar-i-Haram and Bhar Do Jholi. He was awarded Pride of Performance and Sitara-i-Imtiaz for his meritorious services in the field of Sufi music.
