AJK people rejects JAAC protest call

G.BALTISTAN: The residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have dismissed the call for protest issued by the outlawed Joint Awami Action Committee.

In Mirpur, locals expressed concerns that a lockdown would harm local businesses and increase hardships for daily wage workers. They warned that if the protest escalates into violence, it could serve the interests of malicious elements. The community emphasized that issues should be addressed through dialogue and discussions.

The residents highlighted that Pakistan and Kashmir share an unbreakable bond and vowed to prevent any attempts to incite unrest. Despite the protest call, markets and commercial centers in Mirpur remain operational.

The public appealed to the banned committee to abandon its inflexible stance and engage in negotiations to resolve their concerns amicably.

In Rawalakot, markets and business hubs are functioning normally, with no disruptions reported. All educational, commercial, and social activities are ongoing, and traffic flow has returned to normal.

Similarly, Muzaffarabad and Bagh cities are observing regular business and social routines. Educational institutions in these areas are functioning as usual, with attendance levels normal in both government and private sectors. The people are actively engaged in their daily activities without interruption.
