A.J.KASHMIR: The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has officially announced the list of successful candidates for the second phase of the elections. This phase included nine constituencies within the Muzaffarabad Division and 12 seats designated for Kashmiri refugees.
In the Muzaffarabad Division, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won five seats, while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) secured four. For the Kashmiri refugee seats, PML-N emerged victorious on 10 seats, with PPP winning two.
Key winners in the election include Shah Ghulam Qadir of PML-N from LA-25 Neelum-I, and Abdul Waheed of PPP from LA-26 Neelum-II. Noreen Arif of PML-N succeeded in LA-27, while PPP candidates Syed Bazil Naqvi and Sardar Mukhtar Ahmed Khan clinched LA-28 and LA-29 respectively.
Among the Kashmiri refugee seats, Mustafa Bashir Abbasi, Raja Saqib Majeed, and Raja Muhammad Farooq from PML-N secured LA-30, LA-31, and LA-32. PPP candidates Diwan Ali Chughtai and Nasir Hussain Dar won LA-33 and LA-34. Additionally, PML-N candidates Chaudhry Ismail and Mohsin Ahsan Raza succeeded in LA-35 and LA-36.
The commission also declared PML-N candidates Maryam Javed, Zeeshan Ali, and Raja Siddique successful from LA-37, LA-38, and LA-39.
