AJK declares public holiday on December 27 to commemorate Benazir Bhutto’s martyrdom

MUZAFFARABAD: The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has declared a public holiday across the region on December 27 (Saturday) in observance of the anniversary of Benazir Bhutto’s martyrdom.

According to an official notification, the death anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto will be observed with official ceremonies and events throughout AJK, paying tribute to her life and legacy.

This decision reflects the respect and admiration for the former Prime Minister’s significant role in Pakistan’s political history, underscoring her lasting impact on the country and her contributions to its development.
