LAHORE: World Bank President Ajay Pal Singh Banga visited Khushab on Tuesday, making a brief, symbolic stop to explore his ancestral roots. He visited his ancestral home and a local gurdwara, reflecting on his heritage.
Banga later attended a lunch hosted by the district administration at the Deputy Commissioner House. Punjab Assembly Member Malik Muhammad Asif Bhatti welcomed him with a traditional shawl, showcasing local hospitality.
During his visit, Banga met senior district officials, including the deputy commissioner and police leadership. District Police Officer Dr. Amara Shirazi presented him with a ceremonial token as a gesture of goodwill. Officials also briefed him on local development challenges and administrative matters.
