HYDERABAD: Muhajir Qaumi Movement chief Afaq Ahmed announced a protest rally in Hyderabad on January 21 and appealed to the Muhajir political factions to unite.
Talking to the media at a local hotel in Hyderabad, Afaq Ahmed said that our meeting in Hyderabad would be a protest against language abuses against the Muhajir Nation.
He said that the local government act of the PPP government has discriminated against the urban population and therefore we have rejected it. But in order to achieve this, I am trying to unite the factions of immigrant politics.
Afaq Ahmed said that MQM, Farooq Sattar and Mustafa Kamal have been contacted, hatred has decreased, maybe all the leaders can be seen on one stage.
“The quota system has suffered, so I have in the past opposed the mainstream politics of refugees,” he said.
