982 People Killed in Rains, Floods in Pakistan: NDMA

ISLAMABAD: Rains and floods wreaked havoc across the country. The number of people killed in accidents has reached 982.

According to the National Disaster Management Authority, the number of people who have died since June 14 due to rains and floods across the country has reached 982.

According to NDMA, 10 people died due to rains and floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. 33 people lost their lives in Sindh during the last 24 hours. 2 deaths occurred in Punjab due to rains and floods.

According to the report, 113 people were injured at different places during the last 24 hours due to floods across the country. A total of 1,456 people have been injured so far.

NDMA says that 149 bridges were damaged due to rains and floods across the country. Due to rains, more than 6 lakh 82 thousand houses were damaged across the country. More than 825,000 cattle were also washed away in the flood channels.

48,931 people have been shifted to safe places across the country. More than 27,000 tents, more than 35,000 tarpaulins and more than 17,000 blankets have been distributed to the victims.
