14th death anniversary of scholar Dr. Israr Ahmed observed

LAHORE: The 14th death anniversary of renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Israr Ahmed was observed on Sunday, paying tribute to his lifelong contributions to Islamic thought and Quranic teachings.

Born on April 26, 1932, Dr. Israr Ahmed completed his early education from King Edward Medical College, Lahore, graduating in 1954. He later earned a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies from the University of Karachi in 1965.

After completing his education, he devoted his life to promoting a deeper understanding of Quran-based philosophy and Islamic revivalism. Over the course of his career, he authored around sixty books on various aspects of Islam and delivered numerous lectures in audio and video formats that continue to be widely accessed.

In recognition of his services in religious education and scholarship, he was awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 1981.

Dr. Israr Ahmed remains a respected figure among scholars and followers for his intellectual contributions and efforts to spread Islamic teachings.
